This Spagyric has been through the entire process from maceration to circulation twice!
The first process was completed with a philosophical month of circulation, then that completed spagyric tincture was used as the menstruum for the next complete process, thus rendering this medicine much more energetically potent.
Held in high regard for its healing properties, Yarrow has long been used in folk medicine.
In Greek mythology, it is said that when Achilles was born, his mother holding him by the ankle dipped him in yarrow tea. When he died, as the hero of the Trojan war, it was a wound on the ankle that took his life, the only place the yarrow bath had not touched.
In ancient China, yarrow was used to reawaken the spiritual forces of the mind and was thought to balance yin and yang energies, bringing together heaven and earth.
During the I-Ching dynasty the dried stems of Yarrow were used as divination tools.
The tradition owners of America, used this herb to relieve both pain and inflammation from tooth, head, and earaches. Yarrow was also used to treat fevers and cold and flu.
Its main actions are: Diaphoretic, hypotensive, astringent, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, diuretic, antimicrobial, bitter and hepatic.
Yarrow contains bitter flavonoids, which are appetite-stimulating aromatic compounds that encourage saliva and bile production for healthy digestion.
Its anti-inflammatory properties also help soothe gut inflammation, which can cause upset stomach or heartburn.
